Perhaps you don't know what 'purporting' means; it means it's pretending to be something else!
Something in a Sci Fi Film ?
Could you be looking for "the fastest car in the world at 237 mph", or am I, too, confused?

It's not the answer I'm looking for I'm afraid!
Hmm. It purported to be the first of a "production" run of twenty-five cars. Only one was built.

All correct I'm sure but not the answer I'm looking for!
Or do you mean that it was originally meant as a one-off for a Arabic customer ?

No. If you read the whole thread you will see that whilst this is of course a photo of the Aston Martin Bulldog it is purporting to be something else on a website somewhere! A bit like my recent puzzle of the Zombi (which was of course a Maserati..)

Lamborghini Bravo?
it looks a bit similar to one, but no.
The car it is purporting to be never existed in real life..
Development of turbocharged Aston Martin engine
This could take a long time. The Zombi was only solved bu sheer chance.
That is a fairly "stock" photo of the Bulldog, and is on several sites - I think it was taken at Goodwood.
"Carnut" has explained what he's looking for - in reality the car is of course the Bulldog, but on the site he's looking for it's claimed to be something else altogether. A fictitious claim.
Meanwhile, I have no idea!
Quite so nicanary, hence nothing at all to do with Aston Martin jotage 21!
Was it used in a futuristic movie or so ?

No, check the original question and Reply #3. It's a photo of the Aston-Martin Bulldog, but what's it pretending to be? That's the puzzle that needs answering for the point!

Exactly!
It comes from a page on a well-known website which imagines how the UK motor industry might have developed under different circumstances (if we'd had any management that knew the first thing about cars for instance..). I thought it would have been much easier to track down, but it's worth reading for the fun of it. We can but imagine if they would ever have sold any had such a car been offered..
Well done and another point for PJ.
Even knowing what to look for it took a lot of googling to find out...that was in that well known site!
Nice puzzle!
