Yes, Alfa Romeo!  Locked for you for one replay!

Couldn't find this car anywhere, so I can only make a wild guess : Alfa Romeo 6C Coda Lunga ?

Sorry but unlocked....even if the engine was actually a 6 cylinders one.

Was the body made by an Italian coachbuilder ?

Alfa Romeo 85A streamline bus, Macchi coachbuilder, Freccia del Carnaro?

That was a nice little tricky puzzle, I would have never imagined that it was a commercial vehicle. Well done Hiawatha !

Oko, from you is a great compliment, thank you. But let's see..you never know with AP.

The No. 2 was the giveaway; I'd been trying to work out the significance of it but hadn't reached the bus conclusion!

Nice.  I never paid attention to the rear of this bus.  BTW, it was bodied by Orlandi (Renzo ?) and Macchi.

Hiawatha

The operator, Autoservizi Grattoni S.A. Fiume, had two similar buses. The Alfa Romeo ( fleet number 28) was bodied by Macchi and the Fiat was bodied by Renzo Orlandi. To tell the truth the only pictures I know always show the Alfa version...

Well done Luciano!!! The only thing I can add is that this bus had a fantastic and today super rare plate, FM 2557.  Tomorrow I'll add a nice picture.
