it had a complete motorcycle rear-end,and was powered by a Honda 750 or 1000 engines, the steering, brakes and front suspension were donated by V-W. I couldn,t find any builders names other than Vintage Reproductions INC.

Yes, that's right.
I believe it was called the 'Gamma 2-place Roadster' and it was built by Vintage Reproductions Inc in Florida in the early 1980s.  I don't know how many were made, but not a lot I would imagine!  It had a complete motorcycle rear accessible by flipping up the whole rear-end.
well done.

OK, I wonder who he was!
Vintage Reproductions were apparently founded in 1972 and were primarily involved in making those horrible faux-Edwardian horseless carriage-style things.  My source said that this dated from the 1980's and was made until they went out of business at the end of that decade.

John Massegee must be the guy who actually bought and built one!
