Lots of suspension travel maybe!
Yes, it's a one-off.

The wheels suggest a ford base, the wheel arches suggest it could retract the wheels completely, not sure why....

I knew I had seen this photo in Englishrussia, but I don't really know any more about it. Based on Tschaika GAZ maybe..? or a ZIL? (because of the long wheelbase  :P)

No ZIL in it that I'm aware of, but there is some GAZ (Volga); what else, for the point?
Locked for you.

I really don't have a clue, I was just throwing stuff out there. It looks handmade in someone's shed, to be honest. You can open it up. There's nothing else I can contribute.

This one has been in the Experts for 4 weeks so normally I would move it up to the Pro's today.
But it's practically solved; there is just one word to put in and I would have thought you don't even need to be an AutoPuzzler to name a Russian car that it might use parts from!  I'm certainly not going to give such a ridiculously easy point to the Pro's - that would be a travesty.

So come on some Expert, give me the answer!

Of course!  It's as simple as that!

OK, thanks.
I didn't have a name hence I'd been given all the information I'd been looking for.
However, for providing me with a name I've given you a point!
