It's not an Italian car though there may have been Italian input in the bodywork.
Was the car made in Europe ?
Made in Spain ?
Made in Scandinavia ?
Made in Eastern Europe ?
Made in Austria ?
Made in the Netherlands?
Made in Belgium ?
From neither the Netherlands nor Belgium..

Made in Switzerland ?
Maybe. The car is Swiss-registered and was, AFAIK, built for its Swiss owner. But as I said in my Reply #16 yesterday some think it was bodied in Italy.
The actual builder of the body and their location is not certain, but there are identifiable Italian parts like glass and lights so it is entirely possible it was built there.
It's already been said that it's not based on a German or an Italian car, so it based on a French car ?

Just the final question to be answered: from when?
Only Wendax and oko94 eligible to answer that though..

1968 ?
To be honest I don't actually believe the date I have..
According to my info "The motor and chassis were built in 1958. The car was put into service in Switzerland in 1960."
I don't believe this is a 1960 body; it looks to me like something 6/7 years later and since that's the only date I have I think I'm going to have to call this solved. Wendax got the actual make and model of car so I'm sorry oko94 but the point is going to him.
Here are other pictures:
Thank you! :)
I think this is one of the most comprehensive re-bodies I've seen - there's nothing to suggest there's an MGA in it at all. I like the frontal aspect. 8)

Just the scuttle, windscreen and doors are standard.
To be honest I thought some eagle-eye on AP would spot those!
Here's the interior:
In fact, my guess was based on the wheels. :)

I should have spotted the door handles - MGA Coupé.
