I'm not sure, but I think it is a pre-WWI (circa 1914) Humber.

Well yes it is. I've just realised that I didn't really set any definite question for the puzzle. So it's LOCKED for you - this is the Pros so you have to work for your pint. Please tell me the year and driver.

The year is 1913, and the Humber is being prepared at Brooklands for a record speed attempt by driver W. G. Tuck.

Spot on. It's based on a 14hp chassis, and took Class B records at 50 miles, 100 miles, and 1 hour. Tuck was the works driver.
