Looks like a c.1962 Rambler American alongside. I haven't got a clue what the puzzle car is.............

Huge hint : it's a 1961 Rambler American alongside  ;)

oko94

No Biscuter connection

wingroad

Is it a rough manufacturer mule by American Motors

Any Renault connection?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

D-type

Test mule for the AMX Pacer running gear while Nash finalised the body style.

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

oko94

There is no technical or historical relation between the puzzle car and any American Motors product or related product. The big hint is that, at some point in space and time, the puzzle car got parked alongside a 1961 Rambler American convertible. Understanding the hint will be a big step towards the solution.

The rear part looks a French KV Mini, maybe the front has been added from another French front driven car...

oko94

No KV Mini relation and not French

Wendax

Is it a three-wheeler?

I have very few details about this car but yes, it was most probably built in the USA.

Is the car in the same museum as the 1961 Rambler American?

No museum involved, but you've got the right way of thinking.

is it a homemade Honda 3-wheeler 1975?

oko94

Yes ! I'm really happy to give you your first pro point ! Well done.

oko94

The hint was : both the puzzle car and the 1961 Rambler American were on sale at the same classic car auction in Spring 2015.

Original pictures of the contraption.
