Title: Solved -PJ659- Body built by Frank Reisner for Oscar Alarcon in 1966
Post by: Paul Jaray on April 02, 2015, 05:49:57 AM
This one can be easy or not.
I know who built it, when, where and for who.
1 point for a complete answer.

Yes! Is there more? I just bought the book about Intermeccanica, and there are just few lines about this mysterious project...

Yes, and I was waiting for a very rare point too..
In fact I notice oko94's reply is timed at 0840 on my computer but according to my watch it's only 0828, so maybe I was first!
Just how quick do you have to be?

If your watch is still saying 0828, I think I found the problem... ;D

I think oko94 has his point already!
From memory there were a few short lines saying that Oscar Alarcon invited Frank Reisner to make him a car in Mexico City; he had a workshop all set up ready and waiting and a couple of Mexican panel-beaters to make the shape!

I wonder if any photos of the finished car exist?

That is exactly what the book says...and that is exactly the same question I have! Beside that, was it an Inermeccanica? Should it be called Alacorn? Or was it Reisner's?

Good question.
You'll have to find out what Mr Alacorn called it.

I have a friend who used to have an Intermeccanica Italia which he collected from the factory himself.
He met Frank of course.
I wonder if he still has any contacts he can ask.
I'll ask him!

Not yet but I can feel it coming.

Assuming the car was ever finished in the first place.

My friend doesn't know any answers.
He's still in touch with the Intermeccanica people but he thinks Paula might be the only one who can answer.
Last year he met Frank's son and says he's almost a clone of Frank!

Thank you. I hope there will be more about this body. It looks familiar and who knows, it was probably used later in a different car.

Sorry for missing your Lock PJ.  I've been away for the past week, and I'm now suffering jet lag!  I couldn't access the internet easily, but in my absence, it looks like some other Pros have resolved this one anyway.

Point added.
I think it'll remain a mistery if it was ever completed or not.
