The remaining unidentified car is a real enigma. I know the track, and I'm pretty sure I know the year, but there are no records of an entry with that race number. It looks smaller than the Triumph car - is it based on an MG ?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Yes, it's MG based. I know just the driver.
Locked for you now for the 3 cars plus drivers.

The leading car is the Torus-Triumph of Oliver Clubine, the rear car is the Porsche 550RS of Jim Muzzin, and the second-placed car is an MG special, maybe George Barrett?

It's Mosport, Ontario probably 1961.

All correct but the MG Special was not Barrett's one.

Sorry PJ, I'm getting nowhere with this one. I wondered whether the MG was a visitor from the US, and checked suitable records, but found nothing. The certain site where such things can be discovered has no mention of an MG, although we know that this site is not infallible. The body looks a little bit like the Campbell shell, which was sold in Canada normally with a Ford 1172 engine, and designed originally in the UK by Peel. But only a "little bit"   ;D, and that rear headrest and fin would have been added.

Please unlock.

Ok, 2 points for you.
Now, I have not the answer but if there is anyone who can id the 3rd car, there's another point at stake.
I know the driver: B.H.
Unlocked.

Must be Mr. Black Hole.  ;D

Not so. Not so.  The driver was Bill Huffman, the date 10 June 1961. (I've been looking through the internet for 30 minutes on this one subject, and my patience paid dividends. That's a very interesting site!)

(PS - I see that he was racing an MG TD in 1952, and by 1958 he was driving an MG Special - those large wheels and narrow track of the car in the puzzle photo make me think this is a special built around a TD chassis.)

And that's him!
Is there anything more on that MG? I couldn't find if Huffman was just the driver or He built it.

I've just looked through a few pages on the net, but there is nothing about the car or driver apart from race results. I guess an e-mail to the site which supplied the puzzle photo may produce a result.

Two points for you!
I hope someone will find more on that MG.
