A rather difficult one, going straight to the pros! I am not sure about the donor, but for that elusive point, you need to identify the coachbuilder
Nice one!
Coachbuilt Packard made by Hungarians?
It is not from Hungary
No, not even from that country
Thanks,maybe a German bodied Packard?
Nope
From one of the Baltic states?
Nope
French?
Nope
Czech?
Nope
Is it European at all?
From Poland?
Wendax, you've just got a 12-hour lock. It is from Poland
body by Plage i Laśkiewicz?
No, and I am off to sleep so your lock is extended until 10 AM CET tomorrow
Kazimierz Rentel?
Hmm, you've got one last chance and then I'll unlock it
Running out of Polish coachbuilders (up to yesterday I didn't even know one ;) ), one last try although they were probably out of business by the time the Packard was built: Romanowski
Well, I've got no choice left, but to open ot up to everyone again!
(You'll regret/rejoice my visit to the National Archives :eyebrow:)
Wielkopolska Wytwórnia Samolotów?
Nope
Brzeskiauto?
Nope
My last guess : Karlux?
Nope.
If I give you a hint, this one will be solved in minutes (when my fellow AutoPuzzlers wake up). So let me just say this. When I said Poland, I was only partly correct.
Was the town it was built in Polish, when the car was built, but isn't Polish nowadays?
Beckmann related?

The other way around - sort of. And it only applies to the coachbuilder
It is not Beckmann related
Was the coachbuilder in a town that was German (Danzig/Gdansk included) and today is Polish?
Yes, you even named the town. But I am mean and I won't lock it for you :)
body by Danziger Karosseriefabrik?
Yes, it's a Packard bodied by the Danziger Karosseriefabrik!
Congratulations
For one point: Name the make and the shop that gave it this look.
Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

Uh-oh. I have it as a another brand, but from this same coachbuilder.
You are right, I shouldn't have trusted my source blindly. It is obviously a Packard.
So should Wendax and I get half a point each ?
Most probably a Packard Eight, Model 336.

The point splitter has been on the fritz for a while. ;)
I don't know the model for sure, so a point for both of you.
The car with the hood up:
(Joao should have the coachbuild entry corrected. ;) )

Thanks !
Thanks for the point (my 1500th :touched:).
I have to object to the Poland part of the title. Danzig has a long and complex history with affiliations to many states, German and Polish, as well as being a free city. When this car was bodied, it formed the semi-autonomous city-state Freie Stadt Danzig under League of Nations protection.
That is one heck of a lot of points!
And a repost

I even solved it and didn't remember it. :bag:

Deeply impressive points tally!
At my rate I should get my 1500th point when I'm about 110...
Congratulations!
Ouch...I gotta get a move on...
Thank you, guys.
