Actually no doubt about the car (but please tell me its name correctly); to get the point you have to tell me the name of the driver, when and where was this picture taken.
Fiat Abarth 600?
Yes...but the correct name is a little different.
Fiat 600 Deravizione Abarth? Can't come up with anything else.
Fiat 600 Derivazione Abarth is correct; actually there were two version, the classic one was white with red parts on each side, and a cheeper one coloured in grey or blue (the one in the picture). The hard part of the quiz starts now.
Mille Miglia 1960?
It would be amazing....as last Mille Miglia was 1957 one. :o. AnYway, no MM, and earlier.
Small car -- perhaps they STARTED in 1957 with good intentions and didn't finish until . . .?
No, of course not, though I see there was a Fiat 600 Mille Miglia model in 1960 -- that might help hide my error ;)
Let's try Targa Florio 1957 then . . .
1957 is correct, but not Targa.
Could it be the Coppa della Consuma in 1957 with Domenico Ogna driving? I'm afraid my Italian is not very good.
Oh yes, Domenico Ogna in Coppa della Consuma 1957, correct answer and a point for you.

1957 was the last year they held the Mille Miglia
race but the name was carried on for a few more years (not sure how many) as a
rally
I hate to admit not knowing the significance of the '57 MM though I'd certainly heard of de Portago's crash. Yet another nugget of knowledge provided by AutoPuzzles!

Mille Miglia Rally in 1958, 1959 and 1961.
