Is it based on a BMW 328 Roadster?

I can't find anything about this particular car, but the grille design suggests Veritas. So perhaps a one-off Veritas? ???

AFM (Alex von Falkenhausen Motorenbau) intertype 1947-48, Im not sure If it is the original car  or only a copy because I have used google translate and I am not sure about the translate.

Wendax

Yes, it is a 1948 AFM Intertyp. It is the real car, although the bodywork surely looks new. The original body was built by Willi Huber of Frauenchiemsee, which is an island in Chiemsee lake. The car had to be rowed back to the lakeshore in order to be raced.

1952 in Salzburg with altered fenders. The original Fiat-based AFM 1100 engine was exchanged for a BMW 328 engine by then. The driver should be Hanns Roth.

The two pictures posted by grobmotorix show another car: the very first AFM, the 1500 Intertyp from 1947.
