Thanks for the lock Gerd.  I have been out of the house much of the day, and will be all of tomorrow, so I haven't had any time to research this one.  Still, since this is probably my only opportunity for at least 24 hours, I will give it a try with the only model that comes to mind.  Is this a Cedre Midinette?

I haven't had time for extensive research, and the results that I have gotten have not been particularly fruitful.  I have found a number of model names and a few pictures, but none of the pictures match the puzzle car.  It's likely incorrect, but for my last shot I'll try: Cedre Mini 1.
