Wendax

This one is a mystery to me. Its description contains a brand name that I can't find any reference to. Maybe one of our puzzlers knows more.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

I just know the year, the brand which is unknown to me and the engine used.

D-type

Did the maker of the engine make cars, like Ford, or just engines like Meadows, Anzani, Coventry Climax?
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

Wendax

They did make cars, but they are better known for their engines.

4popoid

Do you know the nationality?  If so, is it from the UK?

Wendax

Going by the name, the engine and the place where it was offered, I am quite sure about the nationality. Not the UK.

Is the engine in question a Janvir?  If so, I'm guessing that their brand Musurus (1921-1922) is probably too well known to be our mystery car.

Well there were several French makers known mainly for making engines, but which did produce some cars.
Chapuis-Dornier for example?
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

4popoid

Did this engine maker produce aircraft engines?

Well although that was a shot in the dark, I suppose I'm expected to tell more about this car which I've never seen before!
Since we are looking for a make Wendax hasn't heard of this will be difficult but perhaps it's a Tuar, built by A Morin at Thouars.

Wendax

Not Tuar. As I am interested to get this puzzle solved in reasonable time, so that perhaps someone can tell me more about that car, I'll give some hints:
- the engine is a Chapuis-Dornier type CYSA
- the marque starts with M

#18
Montagnac, first registered in 1924

Wendax

Yes, my hint was a bit too generous, I guess.

One point for oko94.

Does anybody have further information on this car?
I'll leave it a pro level for a while.

oko94

Thanks for the point ! It was indeed very easy to find thanks to your hint.

I couldn't find any other information about this make in my books or online.

Wendax

It seems that it is unknown to the other puzzlers, too.
Moved to solved, but still looking for information.
