A shoebox on wheels.

For one point, please respond and identify this vehicle.

Getting closer, as I am looking for a letter-number-combination: xSx x000

Wendax

No (GSE 3000 would have been a nice Opel Commodore  ;D )

This bus appears in a YouTube video about the history of Sovam.

Great find Patrick!!!

I particularly liked the TA's in the early part of the video.
Too bad I cannot understand spoken French.  I can read it fairly well but am lost when it is spoken.

Unfortunately the jazzy music covers partly the voice and sometimes the voice is difficult to recognize.  Anyway, the identification of the bus is not given here.  I leave it to 4popoid and Shamrock, who have done most of the work.  Good luck !

BTW, the image of this bus is very easy to find when searching for "Sovam autobus".  However, the photo of the puzzle bus shown here présents some obscured characters on the grille which could ne the key to the answer.

SACO

A bus for Air France in 1965 ; but not the name of the bus in the video

Like everyone else, I can find the photograph, but nothing related to a model number.  One last educated (very slightly) guess: CSN 1000.

Wendax

Not getting any better.
The picture with its model description is available on the net.
