It looks like a de Dion Bouton of around 1903.

It is not a De Dion-Bouton.

My second guess would be System Stoltz, maybe the vehicle called "Deutschland"?

Thanks for the lock.  I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, Gerd.  All I have been able to find so far regarding Nacke's first car is that it was a two-seater with 2-cylinder petrol engine of 8-10 HP with chain transmission and a top speed of 30-35 km / h.  Do you need additional information, and, if so, what exactly?

I was after the "first Nacke car" bit of information. I have to look up my source tonight, but I think the point is earned.  :)

The picture shows the first Coswiga Tonneau from 1901 at an early stage, Emil Hermann Nacke at the wheel.

A well-earned point for you.

Thanks Gerd.  I am still mystified by the components located in front of the dashboard.  My first impression was that the engine was located under the frame, and that the components in view were some sort of pump or compressor, hence my first thought of Hydromobil.  I am not aware that Nacke used any sort of unusual power transmission, and so am curious regarding the identity of these unfamiliar (to me) looking components.
