What's the brand and model designation of this car?

Leslie Ballamy's prototype for a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, based on a Citroen Dyane. I'd love to see a decent photograph of this car if anyone can provide one

Yup that's right - but do you also have the model name (locked for you)?
Sadly this is the best pic I've seen for this - I've never seen a whole car view.

I'll check when I get home tonight

Apologies for the late reply. Apparently it was known as the Polio Car - built under the auspices of the Polio Research Charity Fund in 1963. The bodywork was built by Allard

Does anybody have a decent photo of the whole car. There must have been some publicity.

I had forgotten it was this car and photograph that is given perhaps my favourite picture caption of all time "...Sylvia was not afflicted with Polio, but she made for a very attractive model"

I have never seen a better photo, but apparently there was some newsreel footage shot and broadcast by the BBC at its launch

"Leslie Ballamy's prototype for a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, based on a Citroen Dyane."

I'm intrigued by this, if the LMB is from 1963, as the earliest Citroen Dyane was 1967, with regular UK imports not beginning until 1969.  So, could these Polio Car be based on something else (an earlier 2CV perhaps?).

The car was registered 922 FGY - that might be of help to to a certain AutoPuzzler...
