Panhard 70 hp circa 1903?
I know this got a "no" but I have to say it does look very like the 70 h.p. Panhard that Charles Jarrott won the 1902 Circuit des Ardennes with.
Allan, I think you proved me wrong. I compared my puzzle picture to the one below, and I must agree to you. So the caption to my puzzle photo must have been wrong which said the car to be the L'Automotrice driven by Mernier at the 1902 Paris-Vienna race.
So one point for 4popoid for guessing the right car, and one point for you, Allan, for proving me wrong.
We all complain that today's racing cars all look the same, but those gill-tubed radiator racers had the same problem! I actually checked up on L'Automotrice, but it seems to have had a honeycomb radiator.
Thank you Gerd. This one was driving me nuts, as the Panhard was the only car that I could find a picture of that used a transverse front spring. I considered the L'Automotrice, but could locate no information regarding its construction.

I felt the same and that's why I chipped in!
The Panhard radiator style was pretty common, but that front spring was not.
