Faun 6/30 Type K3 circa 1926 from Nuremberg?
It is a Faun Typ K3, not exactly a 6/30 PS, but a 6/.. PS. The year is almost correct, not built in Nuremberg though.
Locked for you to complete the answer.
HMMMM. As far as I am aware Faun made only two car models, the K2 and the K3, with two different engines, the 6/24 PS and the 6/30 PS. I was under the impression that the 6/24 was only available in the K2, with the K3 (beginning in 1925) having the 6/30. Perhaps some early K3s got carry over smaller engines. I will try: Faun 6/24 PS Type K3 circa 1925 from Ansbach.
I agree with you that only 6/24 and 6/30 PS engines are mentioned in literature, even Werner Oswald just mentions those. But I took the picture from an original Faun brochure, and it shows a different horsepower rating (a little help: it is in between the two mentioned ones). The car was built in Ansbach, the year is still slightly off.
I can find only the two aforementioned horsepower ratings, so I will have to make a slightly educated guess based on a calculation and you very generous hint. I understand the 6/24 had a displacement of 1405 cc, while the 6/30 had a displacement of 1550 cc. Based strictly on the proportioning of the displacements, and depending on whether one takes the 24 as correct, or the 30 (since generally rounding was involved) I get just under, or just over 27 hp.
Therefore, since Faun automobile production ended in 1927 or 1928, I'll try: Faun 6/27 PS Type K3 circa 1927 from Ansbach.
1927 is correct, and to put an end to this, it is a 6/28 PS. :)
I'll add the brochure pictures tonight.
