The driver says: "I dunno whether I'm coming or going. It's very confusing!"

SACO

And ready for pros !

Wendax

It is a Brennabor. I just can guess the coachbuilder: Luchterhand & Freytag?

SACO

Yes ! a Brennabor !  ;)
But not by Luchterhand & Freytag !
Locked for you !

Wendax

Was it made by a coachbuilder from Berlin?
If so, by Buhne?

SACO

From Berlin ; but not Buhne !

Wendax

With the usual suspects ruled out, I must purely guess: Voll & Ruhrbeck?

Wendax

Found it! It is a Gaubschat body.

SACO

A most interesting vehicle for sure.

Even though I have pretty good references on both Brennabor and Gaubschat, I did not even get close on this one.

However, I do try to research these questions as thoroughly as possible and spent a lot of time looking at historical photos of the Wintergarten.  Sadly, below is one of the photos I found.

Wintergarten at war's end, May 1945 under Russian eyes.

Interesting how the signs remained virtually untouched! ???

Wendax

The Wintergarten advertising vehicle was built in 1930 on a Brennabor 2 1/2 t truck chassis.
