Not farfetched at all! Not quite correct, but so close that I will call it solved. It was used to carry policemen. The doors were left away, so that the policemen could leave the vehicle fast. By the time this Hanomag was built, this was a rather outdated design.

this car is meanwhile in germany under restoration and should be back on the road mid of 2020.
