Oops, missed moving this one Up!

Pros?

Bill Murray

It is a Studebaker LC 1 1/2 ton 4x4 Low Silhouette prototype truck built for the US Army.
IIRC, the year was 1942.

Hi Spence:

Yes, timing can be everything.  I imagine you remember lately an Austro Daimler ADZK and a Horch 8
that you solved as I was sleeping.

I'm not complaining here, but my last "solve" was on Feb. 3d.

I fully realize the statistical probability that a given puzzle will reach the Pro level and that I have the correct answer but I will lose out on the point based on when the puzzle reaches that level.

Right now, I have 6 solutions that are at the lower levels but given that I need a certain amount of sleep, I have to eat and my wife Pat is very active in keeping a full "Honey Do" list for me in my retirement years, I may likely miss out on all 6.

I have to research my computer equipment to see if I can hook up a "buzzer alert" in my ear when a puzzle that I can solve is moved to the Pro level :lmao: :lmao:

Just some fun for a Sunday evening "my time".

Bill

Ah yes Bill, I remember the AD & Horch.  As I told my wife, Nancy, after she returned home this afternoon, "I don't mind losing to Bill, as I have gotten my share from him."  As it turns out, I was "napping" through this one as well.  I'm sure, at our age, you understand "napping", after all I have to be ready for the next Pro transfer at 4:00 am. ;D

I am surprised that you only have only 6 entries on your "solved" list.  I currently have 31 entries on my "ready" list, but I doubt that I will actually solve more than about 25% of these.  Then we have Gerd out there, who probably keeps no "ready" list, but just snaps the correct answers "off the top of his head", as they arrive at the Pro level (not to mention PJ).

Have a good evening Bill, and "Happy Puzzling".

PS:  I think I missed wishing you Happy Bithday! :drink:

And the point goes to Bill Murray for the correct answer.

I was napping as well.  I noticed I was down to 2 unsolved puzzles posted, and wondered "Why hasn't Bill solved the Studebaker yet?".  Only to discover, I hadn't moved this strange truck out of the Expert forum.  :)
