It is supposed to look like a Mercedes-Benz S/SS/SSK. But I guess that it isn't one, isn't it?

nicanary

It looks about the size of an Aston Martin International. The number of exhaust pipes suggest a 4-cylinder engine.

Is it British?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Wendax:

It is not even a Mercedes-Benz as they merged a few years after this chassis has been built.

So it is no S/SS or SSK.

But you´re on to something...

nicanary:

the bodywork is British.

grobmotorix

Yes - it is based upon a Mercedes race car...

Based on a 1923 Mercedes 2-Liter Rennwagen ?

nicanary

I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

grobmotorix

No and no - it´s a big engine of a powerful racecar from before 1923...

LOCKED for you.

It is indeed based upon a 1922 28/95 Targa Florio race car model.

The puzzle car should be one of those five:

Can't find anything about a Targa Florio Mercedes converted to road use.

Wild guess : coachbuilt by Bertelli ?
