I should say this is your point.
My source says that this is a 1917 Fregoli bodywork I personally would name "Transformer".
It was presented by a certain Senor Carrin EDIT 06.01.2015: CARRM from Buenos Aires / Argentina, who has lived in the USA then.

In the mid 1920´s, "Gustave Carde & Fils et Cie" ( GCF ) from Bordeaux built special bodywork types on Ford T chassis.
They used the Fregoli system.
Does anybody know more about the Fregoli make or system?
In 1926 "Carrosseries Nagal" was the trademark of "Gustave Carde & Fils et Cie"
- here you have an ad for a Nagal Ford T transformation body
- is there a connection to "Brevete Fregoli" (system Fregoli)?

This car is possibly an Amco, bodied by the Carrm Convertible Body Company of New York, USA. The Carrm (sometimes Carmm) Convertible Body Co. was a short-lived firm formed to exploit the patents of an Argentinian-born tailor turned inventor named Bazel Eli Carrm. Mr. Carrm was granted U.S. patents on the convertible body in 1918 and 1922. It seems only two prototypes were built, several years apart.

Ther German 1917 newspaper changed his name into Carrin - Carrm does look strange indeed...
So now everything makes sense in my eyes - Mr. Carrm promoted this type of bodywork as System or Brevete Fregoli in 1917 in Europe and in the 1920´s GCF used some of his patents for Ford T replacement bodies in France:
