I believe it was just a designer's dream for a revival of a long-defunct name.

Was that defunct American manufacturer still active after 1960 ?

Thanks for the long Lock Carnut. I've been away again for most of the week, so haven't had a chance to look into this one, which does look vaguely familiar, but you can unlock it for me now please as I suspect Oko is itching to provide the answer!

Ahead of this though, was it connected to the Dean's Garage Project in the USA some years ago?

Carnut

No, nothing to do with the Dean's Garage Project.
Noted re the lock, but since you've been away and haven't had the chance to look I'll keep it locked for you for 48 hours to give you the chance to spend the weekend looking for it!

Thank you for the extended Lock Carnut.  Is this one of Ric. W. Reed's c.2011/12 proposals for an electric/hybrid model (possibly reviving the Lark model name), planned by the new Studebaker Motor Company Inc. of Colorado, Denver (but never likely to happen!).

Is it a design student's Studebaker project proposal then in that case?
