It is a Devin, but as stated I will need the complete story, of this particular car.

It's a 1959 Devin 195 Roadster, constructed from the Devin SS body. It was originally built round a 1940 Ford chassis with a 283ci Chevy engine.

It was discovered in the mid-90s in poor condition and rebuilt with a strengthened frame. The engine was bored to 286ci and achieved 525bhp at 8000rpm. It was used for "vintage" racing on the East Coast and then found its was to California where it was raced and also took part in drag racing.

Point for nicanary. I am sorry mekubb, I was clear that I wanted the complete story of this machine. It is not your average Devin(if there is such a thing as average for vintage kit cars). But, this particular Devin is very special.

P.S. I've just found out this is a repost, but the car seems to have a name now which wasn't mentioned in the previous puzzle.  That's all I want for the point now so come on Rookies!
