I have it as 1949 but knowing the Internet 1950 is as likely to be right...

I have two versions of this little car, one from 1950-51 and the second (this puzzle car should be) from 1952

Butenuth built three Teddy cars, all with different looks. The development started in 1949 and the finished first car was shown to the public in 1950. The other two are also said to have been built in 1950, when Butenuth stopped the project, because of the start of the Lloyd LP 300 production, which was a rival he could not win against.

The first car had just two chrome strips at the front:

The second car is our puzzle car with a full-width Buick-like grille:

The third car showed less teeth, but a chrome bar again. All three cars were used by the Butenuth family and have been scrapped long ago.

A rare picture of the first Teddy in a Berlin street turned up (I tried to cover up a watermark, so don't look too close on the shadows beneath the bumper):
