Bentley - YES

SSS - is not the name I have for this

I LOCK this topic for you to find out more.

The full title for the car, which has recently been advertised for sale, is Bentley sss-C2.  It features a prototype 'display' chassis dating from 1965 which was acquired by Bentley Drivers Club racer Barry Eastick with the intention of turning it into a rather special racer. This he did with 6.5 litre dry sumped alloy V8 (supercharged for racing)and  bodywork by Lyncar Engineering - a company which built its own Formula 1 car in the 1970s.
That's all I have, apart from the fact that it looks rather exciting.

To be honest I did not know the designation "Bentley sss-C2" so far.

Back in the late 1970s it was the Eastick Special.

Very good - your point!

I agree that "in period" there was nothing like sss-C2 about it and it was just a T-type Special (or for those easily amused, a Model T Special) made mainly by Alan Padgett and driven by Barrie Eastick at Bentley DC events (and it was not really eligible for anything else).
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

It appears to be for sale in Florida - or at least has been recently.  Perhaps it acquired the designation there ?

I'd agree with that and say it's the sort of thing many of the dealers do, not just in the USofA.
