Postwar German?
Puzzle car "B":
Yes.
As it is a one-off special to my best knowledge it may be helpful to find out where and when it raced at first.
The event took place in a big German city and there still (or better again) there is a race with the same name.
Solitude in Stuttgart?
Not in the South... ;)
Stadtparkrennen Hamburg?
Yes - 1949...
There were two racing cars categories at that race. I vote for the smaller and try:
Heinrich Schnelle, HFT special
It is certainly from the bigger 1100 cc category:
Oh, wow - another version of my scanned photo!
Yes - this is certainly the car.
But the puzzle car Puzzle car "B": cannot be the HFT, because it is not BMW-engined...
I have changed it into a group puzzle now, because I know almost every car on the group photo ;)
I hope that was O.K. for you all to extend the puzzle.
I wanted to place them all step by step, but now that we have the group photo published...
Car D is the Fiat 1100 driven by Wilhelm Baxmann
Is car C an Adler Trumpf Junior?
One point for the Baxmann Fiat.
QuoteIs car C an Adler Trumpf Junior?
Could be, but I don´t know really.
I only know the driver´s name that also gave birth to that "Eigenbau" and where he was from.
C: Paul Dübbers, AF?
A: Vollmer?
LOCKED for you!
One of those is an AF, driven by Paul Dübbers, but it is not car C...
And Vollmer is not driving one of those cars.
Two more tries for you!
Paul Dübbers who is driving Alfred Fegers' Volkswagen-powered AF special is probably A
Is B Fiat-powered?

QuoteIs B Fiat-powered?
No.
UNLOCKED - this is open for all again.
Is B a certain Mr Warnken in a VW Eigenbau?
"B" is indeed a VW Eigenbau, but I have a different name.
Oh, I did not see this one:
QuoteIs car C an Adler Trumpf Junior?
I only have a name of the driver/builder of this unique "Eigenbau" and where he came from.
However I do not know any technical deatils despite the engine capacity of 1100ccm.
Was B driven by Rudolf Trenkel?
As for C - Stademann from Harzburg?
No and no.
B: Scholz in his VW Eigenbau?
Not Scholz.
B - Dr. Scholz' VW Eigenbau?
I have a different name for "B".
B : Müller in VW Eigenbau ?
C : Krohn in Fiat-Eigenbau ?
QuoteB : Müller in VW Eigenbau ?
Not Müller.
QuoteC : Krohn in Fiat-Eigenbau ?
Not Krohn.
If it is a Fiat chassis? I don´t know. :-\
Or is Müller in car C ? ;)
QuoteOr is Müller in car C ?
No.
This is all a bit confusing. I think most of us are using an entry list on a "certain site" but clearly that list is not a complete one. We've already had one name that wasn't in the entry, and there could well be another. Every name on that certain site has now been offered, and we still don't have the correct answers!
The list is incomplete. I have pictures of several other cars competing in the race, unfortunately without names.

I know.
Sorry guys - I did not tell that this will be an easy puzzle...

Another picture of the AF (Car A):
Another picture of puzzle car C together with the Baxmann Fiat, unfortunately no name came with it:
Shot in the dark: Is car C the Graetz Spezial?
I need to check this as soon as I will be back home again...
No need to hurry, enjoy Christmas time ... :)
I have a different name. It was an "Eigenbau" (=self built car) by a different guy.
To help:
he was from Peine...
Willi Krakau?
Not him...
another try for B: Horst Richter in his VW eigenbau
B is a Volkswagen Spezial Intertyp, but this is not Horst Richter... :-\

Karl Golka drove an Alpers-Eigenbau, both names are connected to Peine. So, is Alpers the name you are looking for?
Bam!
That is the one I was looking for!
2 points = 1700!!
:applause:
:)
And I am happy to be able to connect another name to an unknown car.
You finally found it!
Very good. The last car is indeed driver Hinz with his VW-Spezialintertyp at the 1949 Hamburg Stadtparkrennen.
Two very well earned points for you!
