I'm afraid I don't know the chassis but I think it was bespoke.
I only know the car's name, who built it and how it was powered.

Did this car have a competition history?
I've been able to find very little out about it, so I'm afraid I can't answer with any certainty but I guess that's what it was built for so it probably did.

Two-cylinder engine ?
but I believe so, yes. As said I haven't been able to find out as much as I would like, but it has either a 2-cyl (most likely) or a single cylinder engine; I'm not sure which!
I don't know where to start looking! ???

I said 'no' but actually it could be, as

Yes, it has a motorcycle engine; but it's not the Cotti Special.
My internet searches have been extensive, using every permutation of engine and cylinder configuration. Zip. Nada.
So it's a case of elimination. JAP?

500cc engine ?
Whoops! So the type is motorcycle (probably air-cooled) and the size could be single-cylinder or twin, so I reckon it's around 1000cc.
Smaller than both those guesses I believe!
Of course it might or might not be air-cooled..
250cc ?
Should I understand that you're not actually sure that the engine is 250cc, hence it cannot be used as a search criteria to look for the car ?

There's nothing to stop you using it for your Search as there's a good chance that it is 250cc; on the other hand it might only be 150cc, I'm not sure.

I'm going to be interested in the outcome of this puzzle! I take it you only know that it's a motorcycle engine, and that it could be up to 250cc.. You don't know the make of engine, so you clearly won't know what engine sizes they manufactured. I'm just curious to know why you know the engine is below 250cc but don't know its capacity. ;D ;D
Sorry if this comes across as rude - it's not meant to be! This puzzle's a doozy.
It's because information about it is so sparse; I'm having to read between the lines...
I've just read between the lines again and I can say with 99% certainty that the engine was 250 cc...
