A rendering, new version of nova kit car?
That was judging by the roof
-
It is just a rendering, yes.
But it's not an up-date of anything.
It's a 'proposal' and it has a name, which I need along with who did it.
-
Perhaps a early render of the new ATS GT? The front looks like a modern take on the classic ATS 2500 GT.

I can see the resemblance but it's not related as far as I know.

Italian connection ?
-
Italian connection ?
Yes..
-
Is it a revival of an old brand or is it from a new manufacturer?

It was a proposal for a long-established marque.
-
Lancia?
-
Lancia?
No..
-
You just said Italian connection. Does the connection consist of it being for a Italian brand?

No, it's not an Italian marque.
-
I guess it was made by an Italian designer then?
-
Anything to do with Porsche ? The front has elements from their 904 - at least in my eyes ;-)
-

Yes, designed by an Italian designer working for an Italian Carrozzeria..

..but isn't anything to do with Porsche.

Ok - german marque ?

Ok - german marque ?
Yes!

When you write long-established, does it mean that it is a still excisting marque with continiously activity since it's beginning?

It was around for a long-time but isn't around under the same name any more after amalgamations etc.
-
Was it a former member of the Auto Union group ?

DKW ?

DKW ?
Yes.
I'm in 2 minds whether to lock it yet but I don't think we're quite there.
Maybe when you get the coachbuilder or designer!

Allright then, I have not found the right searchwords yet. Just can't find a picture of it...
Anyway - does this proposal come from a well established carrozzeria or is it from a "new" design house/bureau ?

A long-established and very well-known one, although like many of them they are no longer what they once were..

I believe the "concept"/render is known as Pian GT. It was initally drawn by Marcio Piancastelli when he was a intern at Ghia in 1963, while this modern render was made by Dan Palatnik.
Nice looking design. Shame it was never made. Here is it from the rear:
-
Absolutely right.
Very good.
I think this is the original Piancastelli drawing from 1963:
-
"long-established marque"? Pian?
-
Can someone please explain the connection between DKW and this car and how this may
have guided me the way to the name Pian GT ??
-
I was only answering questions..
The original proposal was for a DKW sports car to replace the Monza..
-
Pian GT is just what the design proposal was called. I found through searching for "dkw render" or something similar when a discovered a different DKW model rendered by Dan Palatnik. I noticed that his render had a style that looked very similar to the mystery car so I then searched for "dkw Dan Palatnik" and found it imminently.

HI, I´m new in this group, but I can comment more about this picture.
The Pian GT was designed by Marcio Piancastelli during the period he was learning at Ghia and the rendering was done done by Dan Palatnik in the beginning of 2015.
Marcio was my father in law and since he was with cancer at this period, I have help him to draw some details to help Dan´s 3D rendering process.
