What's this, powered by what, built by whom, when - for 1 point?:
Remember - solving puzzles using 'Google Search by Image' is BANNED on AutoPuzzles!

Experts?
-
Pro's with fewer than 400 points?
-
I know only the name and year - Lightning 1996, from UK.
Arunas and I had already searched this car earlier, maybe he knows more about it.
-
Well done finding the name.
Since you say you can't answer the other questions though I won't lock this but will leave it open to see who can fill in the other details.
I'll probably give you a point for getting the name though!

I have long been looking for this car, but nothing could be found. The name of the builder or base/engine can be found on the Internet?

No, I don't believe it can be found on the Internet.
I checked before I posted the puzzle but didn't get any hits, but that doesn't mean to say it's not there on some obscure site.
It's possible to Google with absolutely every word possible and still not come up with the right website (Wendax's Jeep-based Swiss 4x4 is a case in point).

Correct, as identified by Dzima, it is Lightning made in 1996 by <removed>.
I am researching this car right now and all my findings will published in a featured article on blog section of my www.allcarindex.com in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

Thanks
As the puzzle is still only open to Pro's with under 400 pts I've removed the 2 bits of new information you gave..
So 2 of the 4 answers required for the point are still awaited.

Sorry.. my suggestion is to edit the subject / title of the puzzle when it is restricted / open to all.

Good idea!

Since this puzzle is in the Pro's section it is of course open to ALL Pro's now (there are no more "Pro's with fewer than 400 points"!)

Lightning, built by Light Car Company Ltd, St Neots, Cambridgeshire in 1996 and powered by 2 Yamaha engines.
-
Well done PJ - I've given you a point for that answer.
The engine was actually a Yamaha V8, made up of 2 Yamaha 4-cylinder motorcycle engines.
My question about who made it was actually seeking the car's designer and the prototype's maker; I don't know about the Light Car Company but the names I was looking for were already provided by Arunas, though I removed his reply since he was not (at that time) entitled to post it.
I will now give Arunas the point for naming the designer and builder as Peter Stevens (who designed the McLaren F1) and Chris Craft.
Well done all!

This was indeed created by the Light Car Company, of Rocket fame.
