Yes!
It's based on a Jaguar C-Type.
Might have had a C-type engine for all I can remember, but Dick Shattock's cars were based on the Atalanta chassis (as you might expect from the name) with his own GRP body. Can't remember how many he made, but I do remember seeing him race one at Silverstone in the early 1960s

Exactly Allan. There's an interesting story waiting to be told there.

It is the 1953 RGS Atalanta powered by a C-type Jaguar engine

Well done.

As I was going to write last time we had this, but didn't for some reason, I bet it was never as smart as that even when brand new. When I saw Dick Shattock racing one in the 1960s it certainly was scruffy and I have a feeling there was only ever one of them.
Interestingly the vendor whose photos have been used in this thread, claims it has a metal body although he does say "(most Atalantas were fiberglass)" but then as he also says it has  "De-dion style rear end with independent front & rear suspension" he can't be very clued-up. If it's i.r.s. (which the RGS-Atalanta was) it is not de dion.
