For a nice easy Rookie point, what's this?
It's most probably a re-post but I haven't found it..

Of course!
It dates from 1955; I can't believe it hasn't been posted before, but if not it has now!
Is that John Bolster behind the wheel?

I would love to see an unedited and uncensored copy of his report. I really don't know what he would make of the present-day soundbite PR of motor sport. Bernie would have had him barred probably.

The road test report is reproduced in Doug Nye's
Powered by Jaguar. I don't have a scanner so I can't copy it to you but someone else may be able to.
Thanks D-type. I don't particularly need to see the printed report - I was just wondering what JVB said to himself about the car's performance which was almost certainly unprintable.
JVB's final sentence was "In my case the result was several days of such motoring that I was with difficulty restrained from writing this report in poetry!"
I think we can say he liked the car!
Sorry carnut for rambling on - just like to say that I thought JVB's poetry was of the "There was a young girl from Nantucket" variety! ;D

A bit like mine then!
