Alfa Romeo Giulia restyling prototype?
I found it somewhere claimed to be a 2600, but looks too small to be the bigger model.

It is an Alfa prototype from the late 60s/early 70s, yes.
It wasn't specifically said to be a restyled Giulia on the site where I found it, just generally a saloon they thought they might make but (thankfully) decided against it!

I'd say this is probably more likely to be an early styling proposal for what became the Alfa 1750 Saloon, although the shovel-front style is possibly a little too up-to-date for that (of course it became universal but early ones like the Lancia Beta looked quite odd when they first appeared, and I think the Alfa 1750 pre-dated that style.  Maybe they tried it on this car and decided it wouldn't catch on...!)
