A prototype of a sedan version of the AZLK 2141, designed shortly before the fall of the USSR?

Moskvich 2142?

That's right, yes.

An evolution of the AZLK (Moskvich) 2141, modernized and powered by a Renault engine, which has been built in small numbers between 1998 and 2002 - the last car to bear the name Moskvich, after sixty years.

All right.
What I was really looking for is that this is the 2142 prototype, dating from 1991.
But you're right, it was the last car to bear the Moskvich name.
Another point.

The answer was on the car's license plate !

Crikey, do you work for the security services to be able to read that?!

I can only read "2142" on the plate but it's way enough to find the car  ;D
