It's too tempting not to propose Simca 8 Sport, though I guess it will be a little more complicated than that...

The front grille points to a Facel body rather than a Farina, doesn't it?

Some kind of Cisitalia Farina derivative? Based on the side scoops & side logo?

It is by Stabilimenti Farina, yes, but it's not a Cisitalia.

I guess this ubiquitous body has been exceptionally fitted to something else than Ferrari / Simca / Cisitalia... If ever the paint color has any significance, could it be a British chassis?

The badge on the side seemed familiar and I hazarded a guess that it was a Farina badge. With that and with the "stabilmente" you indicated I cracked it, it's a 1948 Fiat 1100 coachbuilt bodywork by Stabilimenti Farina. Stabilimenti Farina folded in 1953, and had the distinction of being the original employer of Pietro Frua, Giovanni Michelloti, and Battista Farina (brother to the founder of the company, Giovanni).

I guess the colour would be insignificant anyway as this car looks almost freshly built!  Certainly freshly restored..
But anyway...

This is the right answer, though I actually had it as from 1949.
Italian design of the period was often light years ahead of other countries'; it would be some years before any British-designed production sports car looked remotely as modern as this (as opposed to Italian-designed British sports cars..), apart from some 'specials' which actually looked rather good.
Well done.
