What's this, built by whom, for whom and when - for 1 point?:

Was it build as mockup only?

that's a Maserati proposal built by Cecomp (designer probably Andreani), should be mid-late 80s

Right so far..
Just one question left.. Built for whom?
In other words who commissioned it; although it does have a Maserati badge on the nose it's not absolutely clear this car would have a been a Maserati had it been produced.
Locked for you to complete and here's the original picture showing the trident (rather than Maserati badge) on the nose:

For De Tomaso, Alejandro; probably to be proposed to Chrysler

Not sure who's hand actually designed it, but it is one of three proposals presented to Alessandro De Tomaso for the US market.
Don't know about Chrysler's involvement though.  I thought it was a replacement for the Pantera; nothing came of it anyway.

Another point for you!

What I meant with Chrysler is; given Iaccoca and De Tomaso had 'partnered' for the open top Chrysler - Maserati, most probably De Tomaso wanted Iacocca to purchase more of his ideas. This coupe was surely front engined, so not meant to be Pantera replacement, but probably new Indy or Kamshin (?) I do not know about the other two proposals you mentioned.

You could well be right about the Chrysler involvement.  I was guessing a bit about the Pantera replacement, really meaning not exactly a direct replacement but a car that could be sold in the US instead of the Pantera.
It wasn't meant to be an Indy or Khamsin replacement but was specifically aimed at the US market.
