This is really quite easy, but what is it, and where is it pictured?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Rusty Chrome

It has to be the Ferrari 330P4 Spider used for the 1967 BOAC 500 at Brands Hatch

Sorry, but it's not, although there is a very strong Ferrari P4 connection. This is not the UK.

No lock yet.

Could it be related to Cegga somehow?

Nothing to do with Cegga.

Could it be the experimental/prototype body first fitted to the Ferrari 212 E Montagna (0862)?

Ferrari bored out the engine slightly and changed the designation to 350P4 when they shipped the P4 over to the States to race in the Can Am series, but they didn't carry a spare wheel for that. Chris Amon at Longford for the Tasman series?

Sorry Galrot, not that, because this is the correct answer. It's the CanAm chassis #0858 which was sold to Dave McKay's Scuderia Veloce team and raced in Australia for one season. When it was sold at auction at a later date, the sales information claimed it only raced once, but a well-known site shows it was entered at many events, usually driven by Chris Amon. I believe that the reason for the very homemade spare wheel carrier could be that this is the 12-hours race at Surfers Paradise, but I don't know for sure, so the point is awarded - all I needed was that this was in Australia.

I like this photo because of the incongruity - such a beautiful car, but with the spare wheel hastily added at the rear using materials probably found in the back of the transporter. I feel that the car itself was probably embarrassed by the thing.
