Genie mk8?

It has a Genie body, but over a different chassis.  I'll lock it for you for 24 hours.

I now know a lot more about Huffaker Genies and precisely nothing about this particular car. Is the chassis British?

Not British. I'm afraid it's now unlocked.

Well it has to be mid engine to fit the Genie shell, so I am assuming a race car chassis -McKee?

Not a McKee, but it a race-car chassis.

Caldwell? Is it a sports car chassis or an open wheeler?

It was built specifically for a type of sports car racing, but it's not a Caldwell.

Hmmm ... I'm thinking about the 'type of sports car racing' and thinking CANAM  because I think I can see the trumpets of a big V8 behind the cockpit. Trouble is I am running out of American manufacturers ..... Shadow?

It is indeed a CanAm racer, but not a Shadow.

I think it's the Burnett Special Mk 2 Chevrolet, driven by Don Jensen at Laguna Seca and Riverside in October 1968 and built by Stan Burnett of Seattle

That's correct. It's the second of several Burnetts, and the first mid-engined model. He used a Genie body simply because it fitted the chassis.

It was actually built in 1964 but raced on for several years.
