Well that's Montlhéry and I can't be sure about the car but as it seems to be an Amilcar it must be a C6 although they looked a bit different when they appeared in VSCC racing in the 1950s

They certainly did look different - much lower and much wider wheels, IIRC.

You've said enough already for a LOCK. It is indeed Montlhery (where else!?) and it is an Amilcar, but this one had a specific name.

No luck in Boddy's book about the track, but I've eventually found a website which tells me it is André Le Jamtel in an 1100 Amilcar called Dergi-Special, on 24/04/1949 and it won its class and was third overall.
If that's true I cannot say, but I found nowt else except that in 1948 Le Jamtel's car was called Amilcar-Dauphine - might be the same car, but I can't say.

You've found it, and the point is yours. I have it as the Dergi Speciale, and I first heard about it in the relevant Black Book, and subsequently found this image to use for the puzzle.
