For one point: Identify this car and its owner.

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

Could this be Don Cattani's mild custom 1950 Ford?

It is, of course a shoe-box ford. Just not the one you guessed

was the owner a relatively known person?

Otto Puzzell

Only to his family and friends, I'd say. At the time this photo was published he came to the attention of a somewhat larger group, though I think he quickly faded back into obscurity.

Remove one letter from his last name, and he'd share a name with a virtually unknown baseball pitcher for the  Chicago Cubs.

So, somebody here might get it.  ;)

We have the name of the car, and the owner's hometown. Just need the builder's name.

Qualification - I know the owner of the car (at the time of the picture). I'm assuming he did some of the work himself, but don't know for sure.

He appears to have graduated high school in 1965; the picture is from the same decade.

I have not seen the name associated with any other Kustoms.

I reckon the Black Hole should only contain "unsolvable" puzzles (cars unknown by the poster himself and puzzles abandoned by inactive members). There are currently way too many puzzles in the hole.

Therefore, all solvable puzzles must be solved !
