Yes!
Made in a Mediterranean country ?
Yes!
Made in France ?
Not France.

Made in Spain ?
Is the builder known for other cars ?
I don't know.
Can it be found online ?
This car appears, with the same picture, in a French magazine of July 2000 as part of a report about insolit Spanish car brands. It's presented as a production of a company named "Classic Cars",specialized in poliester car bodies and was based in a VW platform, without any specific model name. I've been unable to found any other information about it in any Spanish source...
All correct!
Do you have a scan of that page?
Is there anyone who knows more about this?
1 point is yours.
I'll try to insert three pictures one of the cover of the magazine l'autojournal nÂș547 of july-2000 and the picture of the car and its description that were placed separed in the page 329.
If you want to receive more information you may try to contact the reporter of the full article tha was a German man that lives in Spain wich name is Crhistian Manz that has several web pages and offers to give information thru some of these webs.

LET ME TRY... IT LOOKS THAT YOUR TUTORIAL NEEDS TO BE UPDATED.
That is all I know too.
Nothing to add but a point.
Feel free to report what should be changed in that tutorial, I checked it before and seemed to be ok.
Thanks Paul Jaray, If you look at your tutorial instead of the "Attachments and other options" that appear here down below, appears an "Aditonal options" also the "sfoglia" button doesn't appears now. Anyway I never have paired attention to the area below of the reply zone...
Thank you. Those differencies are due to the language settings of my browser. "Sfoglia" is the italian word for "browse or search".
I have received a copy from Christian Manz of an article in the Spanish magazine AutoMax in which it appeared this car made by the company Classic Cars, owned by "Tino", in the town of Campello, Alicante in SE Spain. They were specialized in VW beetle tunning and this car was called model "Canch-Back 1.6" You can see in the attachments a complete view of the car.
 Luisps, I glued two your pictures for a better view.
Muchas gracias (thanks very much).
I only had the picture of l'Autojournal in my archive.
Thank you very much! This is the kind of input I like from Autopuzzles!
