The wheels have a MG TD look to me and I think I can just make out the IFS and steering which also look MG TD.
Since it's a left-hooker, perhaps it's a North American special.

Much to my surprise I found your puzzle pic. amongst those being used to sell a Devin-MG. It seems the car in your photo was built by or for Frank Aldhous in 1952, based on the MG TD he had raced as a production car in 1951.
