I solved it by knowing where to look for results, and you left the race number on the puzzle photo!

I've never heard of the marque. It has a very short entry in Georgano, and there is some confusion on the net as to which driver this  is - there were 2 cars in the race. The results site I used had a blank space for the marque, and the driver as Thieulin, and I think there's a good chance this is a misprint.
