Talbot Lago?
No sir.
I didn't think so, but there are a number of similarities.
There are also a few features in common with an Allard JR, are there not?
I'd say so, yes.

I'd say so, yes.
Are there enough to make it a JR?
the photos/memory I have say the sidelamps are in the wrong place and side vents are the wrong shape. Also memory says a bonnet-top carb intake was usual.
I'll say JR for now, and see what you say!
Not an Allard.
a Kurtis?
No sir.
Another special-bodied Jaguar?
BLUE should be french
You would think so, but that is not always the case.

BLUE should be french
I think you know enough about vintage autos that the color of origin hint should not always be neccesary.
Siata?
Not a Siata (he rhymed).
is it a Salmson Spyder from around 1955?
Nope.
Clearly, this is the car from which Lee Iacoocoo derived the "long hood/short deck" concept for the original Moustang. ;D

Another special-bodied Jaguar?
I don't know how I missed this response - yes, it is a special-bodied Jag.
It could just be an HWM-Jaguar, but I would expect brake-cooling intakes either side of the main radiator intake.
No, not one of those.
I have seen the Alton-Jaguar, but I have no recollection of its appearance, save that it wouldn't have been as smart in those days! Perhaps that's what it is?
It is not.
Jaguar xk120C Barou Barchetta. No idea of its history though.
Correct!
Who knows this sports car?

British ?
The basis car is British, yes.
I know the name of the car and I guess it tells us who built this bodywork.
Only I do not know, where that company was located...
AC ?
It looks like an early AC Ace or AC Bristol, but it isn“t...
Jaguar XK120 by Barou. Commissioned by Henri Peigneux of Lyon.
Argh! Instead of looking for the former puzzle, I should have typed the answer. Well, it is a repost: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=1124
Haha - well I could not find it as I had it as the Jaguar XKC 120 BaroN, not Barou.
I made the photo myself and did not know what it was.
I searched and found the car afterwards in the internet, where it was wrongly named, obviously...
Your point, nicanary!
May some administrator merge this one with http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=1124 ?
Thank you!
Done!
