First of all, there is no hyphen. Schoolboy error for an AP editor!

It is actually Aston Martin DB3/7, not a DB3S. It was fitted from new with this bodywork, as ordered by owner Tom Meyer, and it later became the personal transport of Angela Brown (David's wife) who had the front end restyled to the form shown in this puzzle. It has been a previous puzzle in its early form -

Sorry - I know that so I don't know quite how the hyphen got there...!
I did try to find out a bit more about this particular car but didn't get very far.
Maybe I didn't try hard enough!
