Now this is one I know little about.
Earn a point by naming the car this was based on.
There may be another point available for anyone who can provide further information such as the constructor, year, body, etc. (I don't know so don't ask me!)
-
Not much interest from the Rookies so up to the next level......
-
is this car French?
-
Panhard Dyna X?
-
MG base car ?
-
It's not British so not an MG.....
However the base car is French but not a Panhard.....
-
Simca 8?
-
Simca 8?
Yes, that's the car it was based on.
One point to you.
I'll move it up to the Pros and leave it open for a while as there is another point on offer if anyone can fill in the missing information - builder, year, etc.

Thanks Otto
Hopefully someone out there knows more as the car still exists and it was on the market in recent times.
-
This car was spotted at the Grand Prix de Lyon' 2014
-
and at the Rétromobile a Dompierre sur Besbre' 2014
-
I have it as a "simca 8 barquette 1949".
-
It is for sale right now. The year of build is given as 1963 and it is called Luoro.
-
Found it! Simca 8 Barquette by Lucien Barthe. (source: Gazoline magazine)
Added the photo of the Simca 8 Coupe by Barthe -

As Woodinsight appears to have left our company, could one of the editors rule on this?
-
Looks to me like 1 point for Alex France, who got the right car and base but doesn't seem to log on here any more, and 1 point for dzima, who got the builder.
Since Wendax took part in the puzzle maybe he can confirm his agreement, award the points and move the puzzle?
-
I can't agree with dzima's identification. The Simca 8 barquette by Lucien Barthe I know looks different, see below. Perhaps dzima might add a scan of the Gazoline article to convince me. :)

Now I am convinced. :)
