It does seem to be based on a 2CV, and it is supposed to be a Jaguar

Actually that was the answer I was looking for..
An Asra has been puzzled before but looks nothing like this car; I thought they'd diversified...

I'd forgotten it was one of my own puzzles and had a different name..
I'll give dzima a point for spotting that and merge them.
