Experts?
Professionals?
From Argentina, I guess?
It's RHD so I'm going to plump for Australia.
It looks like a modified Milano GT2 ???
Any early Marcos connection?

..but Yes!
1965 Baufer Chevrolet?
or Martos-Chevrolet?
Neither of those..
Trueno Naranja Chevrolet?
Prototipo Fast-Chevrolet 250 aka ''El Trueno Naranja'' from 1968
B*****! I've just returned to post that! I think it's related in some way to the Fangio car Trueno Dorado, maybe also made by Baufer?
You've found a picture of the right car, but I think you mean "El trueno blanco" ("White Thunder") rather than "El trueno naranja" ("Orange Thunder")?
However, that's not its full name and neither does it have a Chevrolet engine, although that wasn't part of the question anyway..

No, it's not related to that at all and is nothing to do with Baufer!
I've found the owner/builder - Luis di Palma. One site tells me it's powered by Tornado, and another says Ford! Every site seems to call it El Trueno Blanco or El Trueno Blanco de di Palma.
It was used a Tornado engine -
'Tornado' is the other name I was looking for, yes, but I don't know if it refers to its engine; what's Tornado power?!
I have it as a Ford Torino engine, and yes, it was built by Luis di Palma.
But when? That was the other part of the original question, and it's not 1968.

The Tornado was a 4-litre straight-6 from AMC.
Was the build year 1969? (My limited Spanish suggests that he worked in the Berta factory, and maybe the car was built there, but why are all these cars so alike in appearance??)

''Este último, le había sido encargado por Luis Rubén DI PALMA, a Horacio STEVEN para fines de la temporada de 1968, con vistas a su utilización en el TC del año siguiente, y probablemente también en el novel Sport Prototipos''El Trueno Blanco was commissioned by Luis Rubén Di Palma, Horacio Steven in the end of the 1968 season, with a view to use in the next year.
That may well be when it was commissioned and when they intended to race it but it must have taken longer to build than they thought..
It wasn't ready in 1969..
1970? ;D
Crikey, this car is all over the 'net! I've found what is probably your source site - it's a 1971 Trueno IB-Tornado which took part in the 1971 Temporada. This site confirms the engine as Ford Torino.

That's it, yes.
With auto-translate switched on my computer called it the 1971 IB-Tornado Thunder, so we've got there!
I think I'll give you both a point since dzima found the picture and you've got the full name and date - and it's the New Year so I'm feeling generous!
Thanks. Do you think the builders of these cars all used a common bodyshell? They look so much alike.
(Auto-translate is a mystery to me!)

It's probably more that the same people were involved in a lot of the projects, and I suppose some people copied others too. They are all identifiably Argentinian though!
The auto-translate feature isn't easy to access; they seem to like to keep it close to their chests.. My computer forgets about it from time to time and it takes our IT Support some time to get it back and working again, but when it does it's brilliant as every site appears to be in (pigeon) English!
